Sometimes it’s all about ME! This weekend, Janet and I were given a rare treat of a weekend away in downtown Chicago with our sister in law, Tessa. We stayed at her amazingly fancy pad, ate lots of yummy food, and most importantly, had only ourselves to worry about. It was relaxing, enjoyable, and whine free! We left our kids, husbands, and houses on Friday night after our husbands returned home from work and headed to Tessa’s place. Once we were all together we took it easy, ordered in some yummy Thai food, chatted, drank tea, ate some yummy mango cake, and watched Sliding Doors.
Yummy Mango Cake made by Cream Cake Co. So delicious!
Then, after 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep, we awoke to a beautiful Saturday. Glorious!
We started off Saturday brunching at the Bongo room in Wicker park.

We browsed the shops of Wicker park and got our nails done(Tessa’s manicure not pictured).
We went swimming in the luxurious, two lane pool at the Legacy. Janet and I are both pregnant with breeched babies and we thought we’d do some handstands to encourage our babies to flip. After our swim, we laid out in the sun, ate ruffles, and read books on what felt like a 5 star resort deck.
This was our view looking straight up.
This is my view of my feet.
Then we hit the Gioco restaurant all dolled up and had some yummy Italian food.

All three of us Harrison girls.
After returning from a great dinner we stayed up late and watched Forgetting Sarah Marshal. But, no worries, because we got another 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Woo hoo!

Sunday involved lounging around and then all of us having brunch with Jo at Tre Kroner. And, then, just like that, it was over. Everyone was dropped off and reality hit. A reality that is so much sweeter after two nights of good sleep and girl time. I missed my Isa, Jimmy, and Marc and will share all of Marc’s wonderful stories in my next post. Thank You Tessa, Janet, and Jo for a wonderful weekend!
