Camp Harrison=four days of non-stop fun and adventure for seven kiddos whose last name happens to be Harrison. Below the five oldest are at orientation. They are super excited to spend the whole day together.
First up, talk about all the fun we are going to have and have a snack.
All seven pair of eyes on me. Woo hoo! Now if I could only get them to smile at the same time!
I’m sure by now you have noticed their amazing t-shirts. I don’t like to brag but since you ask, yes I made them! I used freezer paper…tutorial here. Many people complimented the t-shirts and I have to say I never got tired of hearing how cool they were!
Next up, touch the bean.
Rosie climbed up a step.
Where did we go next? Check it out!
Jimmy was by far the most excited camper about the concert. The other kids spent most of their time reading books.
Here they are reading a book in the big chair.
But they made an appearance when the shakers came out.
Isla is sooooooo cute!
We played with hula hoops.
and went to story time.
We ate snacks
and played with blocks.
The kids made kites.
Then they flew their kites to the beat of the Chicago Symphony. It’s hard to tell from the pictures below but they all flew their kites high above their heads.
We had a lovely picnic.
Camp Counselor, Aunt Tessa
FYI, it’s 60 degrees and the water is freezing. Do these kids care? Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Al, the great, ran under the freezing water every chance he got. Amazing!
Agatha preferred to cuddle up in a towel and stay warm. She’s my kind of girl!
Isa and Olivia both had a ball just goofing around.
Next up, play at Aunt Tessa’s place.
Then run out for a cupcake treat.
She’s ready to pose at moments notice.
We ate our treats at Starbucks. They are so sweet. We did buy lots of caffeine while we were there.
We strolled back to Tessa’ s place.
Made some cool art projects.
Hung out with family!
Did I mention the dance party? Oh yes, there was a dance party!
Oh my gosh, my blog is cutting me off. There will be a short part two to follow.
